SARDINIA LIKE
A LOCAL

Sardinia Like a Local is a project born from a deep connection with this land.
We created it for travelers who want to discover the island beyond the usual clichés, exploring it slowly and authentically, and with the kind of advice you'd only get from a local friend.

We help you experience Sardinia’s iconic beaches at the right time of year, when they shine at their best and before the crowds arrive, and suggest alternatives for the busiest summer months. It’s not about chasing “hidden spots,” but about knowing when and how to enjoy them in the most authentic way.

We guide you through less crowded places, villages full of traditions, local food and wine, archaeological wonders, and breathtaking landscapes, so that your journey reflects the island’s true soul.

No packages, no intermediaries, just you, the island, and what truly matters.

Discover Sardinia through slow travel experiences

WHO WE ARE

We're Alessandra Polo and Franco Prisco, two Sardinians with different lives but the same goal: sharing the real Sardinia with travelers from around the world.

We're not tour guides or travel agents.

Alessandra lives in Sardinia and has been promoting the island through social media, digital storytelling, and local development projects for over ten years.

Franco has lived and worked in the UK for over ten years, but he returns to Sardinia whenever he can, with the curious eye of someone eager to share it with international travelers.

What we offer comes from direct experience, years of exploration, and a trusted network of local people who live and breathe Sardinia every day.

Think of us as your connection to Sardinia's soul, to its rhythms, landscapes, flavors, and stories.
